Used e-bikes from riders and shops across South Africa: e-MTBs (electric mountain bikes), e-gravel, e-road and city e-bikes, plus motors, batteries and conversion kits.
New to e-bikes? The battery is the expensive part. Ask the seller for its health (how much of its original capacity it still holds) and a photo of the display showing the km.
Before you pay, check the frame serial (the frame's unique ID, usually under where the cranks join) against our free stolen-bike register.
1. Buy now keeps your money safe.
Pay with Buy now and TradeSafe, an independent escrow service, holds your money (escrow means they keep it until you have the bike). The seller is paid once you accept the item, or automatically when TradeSafe's inspection window ends if you haven't raised an issue. There's no buyer fee: you pay the listed price, plus shipping if you choose delivery.
2. Sellers who take Buy now payments are checked.
They complete an ID and bank check with TradeSafe before they can be paid. Look for the verified-seller tick.
3. Our team checks new listings.
Every new listing gets a review shortly after it goes up, and Buy now switches on once it's approved. Anything that breaks our rules is taken down.
4. Stolen bikes get stopped.
If a seller enters a frame serial that's on our stolen-bike register, we block the listing. You can check any serial yourself, free.
5. Something wrong? Speak up before the money moves.
Click "SUBMIT ISSUE" in TradeSafe's email, or email support@crankmart.com. Either way, we'll ask TradeSafe to hold the payment while it's sorted out.
Your part: keep your chats on CrankMart, ask for extra photos (for an e-bike, the display showing the km), and if there's no Buy now button, meet somewhere public and see the bike before any money changes hands.
